Antenatal visits
Your first booking-in visit is at 10 to 12 weeks of gestation. The history of your, your partner’s, his family’s and your family’s health record will be discussed in order to spot any inherited conditions or circumstances that may affect your pregnancy. You will be weighed, your weight gain will be checked regularly from now on. Your blood pressure will be measured, a urine sample will be taken, followed by one every visit until birth and a blood test will be offered.
Dates
Appointments will be monthly at first. An ultrasound examination will be completed during the first visit to confirm your pregnancy. The following ultrasound examination will be completed in the 16th week along with the Triple Test that screens for Down’s syndrome and neural tube defects, then in the 20th week where a detailed heart echo is examined and then every four weeks until the 28th week. If it is necessary to take an amniotic sample (amniocentesis) then we refer you to our affiliated private genetic orientated department, PRONATAL or GENET. After 28 weeks our patients are seen every two weeks until the 36th week, then weekly until the delivery.
Rehabilitation
We are pleased to inform you of the expansion of our service to physiotherapy, which we would like ot offer to our current patients.
The service includes :
1. ANAMNESIS - primary evaluation of the patient´s medical state, supplied
from the viewpoint of an internist specialised in physiotherapy
2. EXAMINATION - assessment of body posture, movement stereotypes, the
effect of any organ dysfunction on body motility, joint blockages, muscle
imbalances -promoter points
3. FINAL DIAGNOSIS
4. THERAPY APPLICATION - using of method of manual therapy,
massages, exercises, special therapeutic methods for pregnancies, for
infertility, for incontinence, for IVF
