We use the latest laser device from Fotona for many areas of gynaecological treatment in our clinic.
The main advantages of laser therapy are that that the procedure is incisionless and virtually painless, with no ablation, cutting, bleeding, or sutures. Recovery is extremely quick without need for the use of analgesics or antibiotics. No special pre-op preparations or post-op precautions are necessary. Patients can immediately return to their normal everyday activities.
We provide 4D ultrasound assessments for pregnant women. Usually this service can be offered between 20 and 29 weeks of gestation, the optimum time being at around 25 weeks. The scan can be recorded on USB or CD and of course we provide some coloured photos. This is a paid service.
We offer the opportunity to receive screening for chromosomal abnormalities including Down syndrome - PRENASCAN. There are certain birth defects that can be tested for prenatally - before a baby is born. The risk of having a baby with a chromosomal abnormality, such as Down syndrome, increases with the mother's age.
Project PRENASCAN has introduced noninvasive prenatal testing of fetal chromosomal disorders into clinical practice. Included are screening for - trisomies of chromosomes No. 21 - Down syndrome, No. 18 - Edwards syndrome and No. 13 - Patau syndrome. Risk of other rare chromosomal disorders including those of the sex chromosome can be assessed as well.
